Inside Sales Representative

Horizon Measurement Solutions is currently looking for a highly driven Inside Salesperson for our location in Oakville, ON. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining commercial accounts for our location in Oakville, ON.

All tasks must be performed with sufficient speed and accuracy in order to achieve sales profitability and avoid adverse impact on the level of service provided to customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with industry equipment and pricing
  • Calling on accounts regularly
  • Preparing quotes, estimates, and invoices for clients
  • Customer service (both in office and on the phone)
  • Processing any orders that come through on the phone
  • Generating new business in Canada and achieving sales targets for the region
  • Driving to meet customers, make pickups, or deliveries
  • Picking up transfer orders for other warehouses
  • Any other duties assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Preference is given to those with experience in construction, survey, and civil engineering equipment sales
  • This position does not require any specific school degrees or certifications
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience required
  • Skills on the telephone are an asset
  • Experience with survey field and office software, as well as CAD systems

Remunerations:

  • Compensation of this role consists of salary plus commission and a benefits plan

Schedule and Pay:

  • Full-time, permanent position - Monday to Friday; 8:30am to 5pm
  • Ability to work from home, occasionally
  • Salary starting at $40,000 per year

Required:

  • Valid G-Class drivers license or equivalent
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Machine Control and Construction Sales Representative

Horizon Measurement Solutions is currently looking for a highly driven Machine Control Sales Representative for our Oakville, ON location. This role is responsible for developing new business while also supporting existing clients.

If you are self-disciplined, sales driven, and a highly organized team player who is looking to develop your skills while growing your career, then this could be the position for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Generating new business in Canada and achieving sales targets for the region
  • Supporting existing Horizon Measurement clients and maximising revenue potential of key accounts
  • Report sales forecasts, test new technologies and products that would benefit our clientele in Canada
  • On-site visits to customers in the construction, surveying, and earth moving industry
  • May be occasionally required to travel throughout Canada
  • Any other duties assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Land Surveying, Engineering, and Geomatics considered an asset
  • Preference given to those with a background in construction and/or machine control
  • Knowledge of GPS, Surveying, and Robotic Total Stations
  • Experience with 2D and 3D machine-controlled products
  • Experience with survey field and office software, as well as CAD systems

Remunerations:

  • Compensation of this role consists of salary plus commission and a benefits plan

Schedule and Pay:

  • Monday to Friday; 9am to 5pm
  • Salary ranges from $50,000 to $80,000

Required:

  • Valid G-Class drivers license

Outside/Territory Sales Representative

Responsibilities:

  • Travel within sales territory to meet prospective clients and current clients
  • Conducting calls and face to face meetings with clients, daily
  • Building and maintaining relationships with current clients
  • Maintain organized records of all sales leads and customer accounts
  • Educate customers on how our products and services can benefit them
  • Monitor industry competitors, new products and market trends to understand our customer’s specific needs
  • Work closely with the marketing team to help build our brand awareness
  • Motivated to surpass personal and territory sales goals, monthly

Required Qualifications:

  • Preference is given to those with experience in construction, survey, and civil engineering equipment sales
  • This position does not require any specific school degrees or certifications
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience required
  • Professional with strong business acumen; exceptional communication skills, active listening and presentation skills
  • Experience with survey field and office software, as well as CAD systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, in addition to experience using CRM systems

Remunerations:

  • Compensation of this role consists of salary plus commission and a benefits plan
